Employers can hire TFWs from participating countries for a maximum period of 8 months, between January 1 and December 15.

Foreign workers that fall under the seasonal agricultural worker program (SAWP) must be from Mexico or participating Caribbean countries.

Seasonal workers include agriculture, construction, information, culture and recreational services, forestry, fishing, mining, oil and gas.
